Newly-elected Reform councillor Peter Reeve says “UKIP’s here” following his election in Peterborough. After being reminded that he now represents Reform, the councillor apologised for his Freudian slip. Reeve was formerly the UKIP group leader on Huntingdon District Council in Cambridgeshire. Nigel Farage’s newest party project, Reform UK, has so far taken control of councils in Newcastle, Essex and east London’s Havering, with Labour suffering catastrophic losses as the local election results continue to roll in.
