THE RNLI was warned not to leave workers “high and dry” by Unite today after it confirmed it was closing its Isle of Wight manufacturing site.
The charity said that it was “committed to supporting all those impacted throughout this process” as it prepares to transfer production to Poole, Dorset, by the end of 2027.
About 70 staff worked at the site when it first outlined the plans in October.
