Elizabeth “Loi” Magbanua, 57, is a labor organizer who was disappeared on May 3, 2022. She was last seen in Valenzuela City in Metro Manila, after a community meeting with another activist, Alipio “Ador” Juat. The latter was able to return to his family three weeks later, and said that military men abducted them and brought them to Camp Aguinaldo.
Magbanua remains missing in spite of a Court of Appeals’ decision holding the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) accountable for their disappearance.
