Norrad Bouzide (they/them) is a Harm Reduction Worker and Advocate in the city of Tkaronto (toronto) which sits in the traditional lands and treaty territories of the Mississaugas of the credit, the Wendat, the Chippewa and Haudenosonee peoples.
They specialize in working with unhoused and precariously housed people, substance users, trans and queer individuals, and people living with/at risk of contracting HIV.
Norrad also engages in advocacy and activism, challenging harmful legislation and policy that seeks to harm the most vulnerable communities i Canada. Through their work with unhoused individuals, as well as over a decade of lived experience with homelessness, Norrad felt compelled to stand in solidarity with the Palestinian people after countless families were forced to endure the winter in encampments. So called Canada has been complicit in the genocide and displacement of indigenous peoples both on turtle island and in Gaza and Lebanon, and Norrad is joining this effort to bring awareness to the ways in which Canada continues to commit acts of war. None of us are free until we are all free.
