Nigel Farage and Glenn Gibbins, Reform

As we’ve covered extensively, Reform UK candidates for the 2026 local elections have said some pretty extreme and racist things. Even with this being the case, these candidates keep finding new ways to stand out with how disgusting they are:

🚨 NEW: Reform UK’s leaflets in Hylton Castle spell their candidate’s name wrong. That turns out to be the least of his problems.https://t.co/6nT21GaiHe

Sunderland Reform

The candidate in question is Glenn Gibbins. As Hope not Hate highlighted, Reform actually spelled his name wrong on the leaflets by referring to him as ‘Glen Gibbons’. This inability to correctly spell his name could be a simple mistake; it could be a further sign that Reform isn’t bothering to vet its candidates.

Given the things Gibbins has said, it would actually be better for the party if it came out that they didn’t vet him. The alternative is that they did, and they just didn’t see a problem with comments like this:

Carnt believe amount of nigerians in town……should melt them all down and fill in the pot holes!!

Social media has normalised stuff like this to the point that you almost forget this would have been considered Nazi-grade rhetoric in the past.

It should still be taken deadly seriously when we’re talking about a political candidate and not some random troll. Reform clearly isn’t taking it seriously, though, and neither are the mainstream media. Sadly, our colleagues are too busy breaking the news that Zack Polanski wasn’t a full member of the Wizard’s Council of Great Britain:

🚨 NEW: Zack Polanski was not a full member of the National Council of Hypnotherapy despite telling clients he was

This time last month, they mocked him for being a hypnotherapist; now they’re saying he wasn’t hypnotherapist enough.

Back to Gibbins, Hope not Hate reported:

Gibbins also has a problem with women, often making crude comments about weight and physical appearance. Particularly aggravating to him are female TV presenters: Gibbins has described the BBC presenters Mel & Sue as the “unfunniest fat repulsive lesbian hosts ever” and that female sports commentators should “stick to cooking…sewing …and home making”

Gibbins clearly thinks gender roles are important, which is why he’s seen here embodying the traditionally masculine trait of complaining about Mel & Sue online. Ever heard of stoicism, Glenn? It’s when you shut the fuck up and focus on putting some good out into the world.

The selective quotation above doesn’t give you a full picture of how Gibbins posts:

That’s funny, Glenn, because the people of 120 years ago would queue up to ask who taught you to spell.

Do we really need nasty, small-minded men like this holding power over local communities?

Even if you’re a white man who mostly agrees with Gibbins, you have to realise a guy like this is only capable of pursuing actions which benefit himself first and foremost.

Delusions

In another comment, Gibbins said:

These people live in a complete fantasy. It’s like the suffering European Crusaders inflicted upon the Middle East has manifested itself as a spectre that’s haunting the minds of Britain’s worst cunts.

This isn’t to say violent crimes don’t happen in the UK; it’s to point out these people only notice violence when the perpetrators aren’t white. As we reported in September 2025, a man raped a Sikh woman in the Midlands while simultaneously telling her to “get out” of the country. When Zarah Sultana posted about this, people gloated in her replies.

Oh, and one of the gloaters is running to be a Reform councillor in Essex.

As we said, there’s always more barrel left to scrape with these Reform candidates.
