On Friday, Labor unions and other community groups marked International Workers’ Day by protesting outside of LA’s Metropolitan Detention Centre, which is being used by ICE to hold hundreds of immigrant detainees. Along with demands for ICE to be abolished, union workers also called for a general strike to confront billionaire interests.
