A war correspondent in Lebanon has pointed out the BBC’s blatant complicity in Israel’s ethnic cleansing and war crimes.

Courtney Bonneau pointed out how the BBC’s Jerusalem correspondent is blatantly lying on air, claiming that the:
IDF are striking Hezbollah targets.
Meanwhile, she is:
on the ground in the middle of it watching men, women and children being killed on a daily basis. My colleagues are being executed. Paramedics are being systematically murdered.
She added:
All of this is happening in plain sight and the BBC correspondent here in Lebanon knows it.
Previously, Bonneau also pointed out how the BBC lied about the ceasefire ‘holding’ whilst Israel repeatedly broke it, targeting and murdering civilians.
The @BBC just said on air that the ceasefire in Lebanon is “holding” and only one “death” has been recorded, “a man riding his motorcycle.”
Israel has repeatedly broken the ceasefire and committed murder and domicide, targeting civilian homes.

BBC lies about ‘Hezbollah targets’
The BBC, along with the majority of other Western corporate media outlets, repeatedly parrot the Israeli government’s lines about hitting Hezbollah targets.

Importantly, Israel uses the Dahiya Doctrine to wipe out entire neighbourhoods, towns and cities across both Gaza and Lebanon.
The Dahiya Doctrine is:
an Israeli military doctrine that calls for the use of massive, disproportionate force and the deliberate targeting of civilians and civilian infrastructure.
In short, Israeli policy goes far beyond fighting ‘terrorists’ and aims to destroy the very means of life.

The policy came to fruition two years after the 2006 war via the Institute for National Security Studies at Tel Aviv University. The university published a report titled Disproportionate Force: Israel’s Concept of Response in Light of the Second Lebanon War:
This means that Israel is purposefully destroying the economy and state infrastructure with many civilian casualties. And the BBC knows it.
‘Impartiality’
The BBC is supposed to be the UK’s impartial public broadcaster. According to its own guidelines:
Impartiality is fundamental to the BBC’s purpose and is enshrined in the BBC’s Charter. It means not favouring one side over another and reflecting all relevant sides of the debate. It means not taking sides, reflecting all relevant strands of public debate and challenging them with consistent rigour.
But anyone paying attention can see that they’re just a mouthpiece for Israel.
Recently, the Canaryreported on the BBC failing to name Israel as the perpetrator in 50% of its attacks on civilians in Gaza.
Additionally, In 77% of cases, the BBC used the passive voice to report on Palestinians whom Israel murdered.
Their bias against Palestine has been widely documented:
The Centre for Media Monitoring (CfMM) accused the BBC of operating under a framework of ‘double standards’ when covering the Gaza genocide, of systemic bias against Palestinians, and of applying inconsistent editorial standards when covering Israeli and Palestinian experiences of war.
Repeatedly, the outletuses headlines placing the blame on Hezbollah. Some recent examples include:
Battered and Isolated, Hezbollah drags Lebanon into another war
and:
New evacuation orders in southern Lebanon
The first blatantly blames Hezbollah for Israel’s ongoing genocide.
The second turns Israel’s ethnic cleansing into ‘evacuation orders’.
Both completely whitewash Israel’s war crimes. The BBC is absolutely complicit in Israel’s crimes.

The BBC is a PR machine for Israel. The illegal settler colony would not be able to get away with its crimes if it weren’t for Western propaganda machines parroting their bullshit and sanitising their war crimes.
Silence would be complicity – but the BBC has gone way beyond that.
