
Home secretary Shabana Mahmood’s lust for repression of free speech and resistance concerning Zionism runs deep, just like her boss. So deep that she said in January – out loud – that she wants to turn the UK into a ‘panopticon’. The term refers to a system of control and surveillance where a whole population can be monitored – without knowing that they’re being monitored.
Mahmood has lost it
Now, Big Brother Watch has released footage of its director Silkie Carlo telling LBC that Mahmood’s plan to massively increase the UK-wide use of facial recognition cameras is aimed at realising Mahmood’s diseased dream.

Because Mahmood’s plan is no longer just a plan. It’s happening. Mahmood began the roll-out after the High Court ruled the blanket use of AI-driven facial recognition is lawful.

Keir Starmer and his Israel-lobby backers are not content with criminalising free speech and protest against Israel’s crimes. They want us all in their ‘panopticon’, looking over our shoulder constantly, never sure how closely we’re being watched and always afraid of what might be seen or overheard. To make resistance dangerous, if not impossible.
