In Maryland, a plan to quietly turn a warehouse into a multi-million dollar ICE detention center is now on hold after the community fought back. Trump’s One Big Beautiful Bill has allocated $45 billion dollars to fast-tracking these ICE detention centers, at times leveraging the military to so do. Despite the Trump administrations attempts to force this along, the community in Maryland will stand firmly with immigrants.
