A series of embroideries will go on display in Venice from May to November 2026. The artworks depict scenes from Israel’s genocidal attack on Gaza. The show’s full title is: “_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _”* *Gaza – No Words – See The Exhibit. It’s a reminder that sometimes images can take us to places where words fail.

The Palestine Museum US is organising the exhibition. It’s proud to announce its participation as an official Collateral Event of the 61st International Art Exhibition of La Biennale di Venezia. The event takes place from 9 May 9 to 22 November 2026.

The museum will showcase “Gaza – No Words – See The Exhibit,” a powerful exhibition featuring 100 pieces of Palestinian tatreez (embroidery) documenting the genocide in Gaza.

‘Gaza – No Words – See The Exhibit’ – 5.5 million stitches of witness

The exhibition features intricate 50x80cm embroideries created by Palestinian women in refugee camps and villages in Lebanon, Jordan, and the West Bank. Each piece consists of 55,000 stitches, totalling 5.5 million stitches, and depicts scenes from the genocide in Gaza.

“Gaza – No Words – See The Exhibit” serves as an indelible record of the atrocities in Gaza, preserving evidence and bearing witness to the experiences of those affected. The exhibit aims to raise global awareness and urge the international community toward accountability and justice.

The exhibit will be hosted at the Palazzo Mora venue in Venice, Italy. Exhibit hours are 10am-6pm daily, closed Tuesdays. Admission is free.

The Palestine Museum US invites individuals and organisations to support this project by sponsoring one or more pieces of tatreez. Supporters’ names will be embroidered on the pieces, alongside the embroiderers’ names.
