ENGLAND head coach Charlotte Edwards has told the likes of Tammy Beaumont and Davina Perrin not to give up on playing a role in this summer’s T20 World Cup squad.

Edwards named a 15-strong squad for the home tournament, which begins at Edgbaston on June 12, but for every piece of good news she delivered, there was bad news for another hopeful.

Beaumont, a 35-year-old veteran with over 250 appearances to her name, was the most experienced player to miss the cut, while 19-year-old Perrin will remain an uncapped rising star for a little longer.
