A massive ice block on the route just above the Mount Everest base camp has forced hundreds of climbers and their local guides to delay their attempt to scale the world’s highest peak, officials said Friday.

It’s an ecological disaster as well. There’s so many spent items, dead bodies, human waste, and just general trash. Not to mention it’s not really a prestige anymore it’s been commercialized so much. There’s fewer deaths on the mountain compared to say the 90s.
