The Mayor of District Number 4 of Tehran, Mr. Seyed Mohamad Musavi, explained that four residential complexes were hit and that all the residents of building number 12 were killed. In total, more than 500 homes were affected in the neighborhood.
The ambassadors visited the Historical Palace of Golestán, one of the oldest historic monuments in Tehran and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, more than two centuries old, which suffered partial damage during the attacks. Iranian experts are currently working on its restoration.
Finally, the delegation went to the Rafinia Synagogue, which had been completely destroyed by the attacks. Mr**.** Omid Masih, member of his board of directors, regretted the loss of the temple, pointing out that the Jewish community regularly went there for prayers and religious ceremonies.
