“Cuba is a threatened state that will not surrender." On Thursday, Cubans celebrated the 65th anniversary of Fidel Castro’s declaration of the socialist nature of the Cuban Revolution following the failed Bay of Pigs invasion in 1961. President Miguel Diaz-Canel decried U.S. aggression, stating that it was “our duty to prepare ourselves to defend" the revoluton, just as Cubans did in 1961.
