“Should have paid us enough to fucking live.” A video appears to show a worker setting fire to a warehouse in California while complaining about low pay. The 110,000-square-metre building belonged to consumer goods giant Kimberly-Clark, which produces brands including Kleenex and Andrex. It went up in flames on 7 April and was completely destroyed, costing the company an estimated $156m. Police have arrested warehouse employee Chamel Abdulkarim, 29, and charged him with two arson offences.

I mean yeah. At a certain point if employees can’t afford to survive while working a full time job, and they see management living the good life, they will become angry and resentful. At best they’ll do a half assed job which will negatively impact the company. At worse, well…
