SCOTTISH Greens have promised to “make the super-rich pay their fair share” and end royal tax breaks in Scotland.

As the living embodiment of the state, Charles Windsor enjoys free lodgings and legal exemption from a range of taxes largely reserved to the UK government.

Branding the situation “ridiculous” amid a cost-of-living crisis, Scottish Green co-leader Ross Greer has called for the exemptions to be scrapped and pledged to end Mr Windsor’s Land and Buildings Transaction Tax (LBTT) exemption afforded him by the Scottish government.
