CONTACT between Lord Peter Mandelson and the Welsh government did not pose a risk, an official report issued today said.

First Minister Eluned Morgan said Permanent Secretary Andrew Goodall carried out a detailed review of Welsh government communications with the disgraced Labour Lord.

“The review concluded there was nothing which represented a risk to the conduct of Welsh government business,” Ms Morgan said.

The FM had the review carried out after Plaid Cymru leader Rhun ap Iorwerth wrote to her in February.
