MINISTERS must immediately lift the ban on Palestine Action as a terrorist organisation after the High Court ruled its proscription unlawful in February, the National Education Union said today.

Delegates at its annual conference also backed calls to drop charges against people arrested for protesting against the ban with Defend our Juries.

The NEU was also instructed to work to oppose proposed new police powers to ban demonstrations that have “cumulative disruption” under the Crime and Policing Bill.
