The Global Sumud Flotilla, Global Freedom and Sumud Flotilla, Thousand Madleens to Gaza, and the Freedom Flotilla Coalition have joined forces to organize the largest flotilla to break Israel’s illegal siege of Gaza. Together, we will launch a coordinated global act of civil resistance to challenge Israel’s ongoing genocide against the Palestinian people and its decades-long illegal blockade and occupation, as well as the machinery that enables them.
The Freedom Flotilla Coalition has been sailing to break Israel’s maritime blockade on Gaza since 2010, building on the efforts of the Free Gaza Movement, which successfully broke through the blockade in 2008. Following the sailing of FFC’s Madleen boat in June 2025, a wave of new initiatives emerged, expanding the movement into a broader international effort to send not just one boat, but fleets, and not just a mission, but a coordinated, sustained challenge to Israel’s siege and violent settler colonial policies.
“With our governments fueling genocide and failing to uphold their legal and moral obligations, the people of global civil society are rising together in larger and larger numbers. This flotilla is collective action on a massive global scale—uniting activists, legal experts, parliamentarians, medical professionals, engineers, artists, journalists, and other people of conscience across the world.” — FFC Steering Committee
For Palestinians in Gaza who have survived 19 years of Israel’s illegal blockade, repeated military assaults, and ongoing genocide, this flotilla is a declaration of solidarity and resistance. We will not normalize Israel’s siege, calculated starvation campaign, and slaughter. We reject collective punishment as policy. We refuse to be silent witnesses to crimes against humanity.
The Spring 2026 Flotilla will not only be a voyage across the sea, it will be a turning point in global solidarity, demonstrating coordinated, principled, and bold civil society action that confronts injustice where states have failed. We can and will win.

The Freedom Flotilla Coalition (FFC) is composed of civil society organizations and grassroots initiatives from across the globe. Since 2010, we have actively challenged Israel’s illegal and inhumane blockade of Gaza by sea, continuing the powerful precedent set by the Free Gaza Movement, which began sailing boats to Gaza in 2008. Our actions aim to uphold international law and to support the Palestinian people’s rights to freedom of movement, self-determination, and dignity. The FFC is committed to confronting the complicity of governments, corporations and institutions who enable and profit from the Israeli Occupation, Apartheid, and War Crimes, until the blockade is unconditionally lifted. As long as governments refuse to act, civil society will take non-violent, direct actions to challenge the blockade and expose the complicity and silence that sustains it. FFC member organizations include: Canadian Boat to Gaza, Freedom Flotilla Italia, MyCARE Malaysia, Kia Ora Gaza Aotearoa / NZ, Ship to Gaza Norway, Palestine Solidarity Alliance South Africa, Rumbo a Gaza Spain, Ship to Gaza Sweden, iHH, Mavi Marmara Türkiye, US Boats to Gaza, the International Committee for Breaking the Siege of Gaza, Free Gaza Australia, Gaza Freedom Flotilla Cobh Ireland, Freedom Flotilla Brasil, and Gaza Freiheitsflottille. Our partners include the Platform of NGOs for Palestine in France, the Union of Agricultural Work Committees, and We Are Not Numbers in Gaza.
