MEN’S ATHLETICS: Sweden’s Armand Duplantis broke the pole vault world record for the 15th time after clearing 6.31 metres in Uppsala’s indoor arena on Thursday evening.
The three-time world champion, double Olympic gold medallist and five-time Golden League winner has single-handedly raised the world record by 15cm in the last six years.
Duplantis was named as the world’s sportsman of the year in 2025.
