Will Alexander is an activist, journalist and documentary maker. In 2024 he undertook a hunger strike, which lasted 18 days to put pressure on the New Zealand government to withdraw its troops from the Red Sea and reinstate funding for UNRWA. Both of those demands have now been met. Will also walked 600 Km from Christchurch to the Israeli Embassy in Wellington to raise funds for Children of Gaza, UNICEF and took part in the March to Gaza in Egypt. Through his activism, Will now has an Instagram following of over 20K people, which he uses to raise awareness of the genocide. He also intends to make a documentary with the footage that is collected during the flotilla mission.

“This flotilla should not be necessary. Our governments should be doing the work of upholding international law and safeguarding human rights. However, I believe that we will be successful. We will open a humanitarian corridor to Gaza and keep the world’s attention on Israel’s genocide.”
