ROAD safety in Wales was raised at today’s First Minister’s Questions, highlighting the 1,270 fall in casualties in the two years since the introduction of the 20mph default speed limit.
Former transport minister Lee Waters said Reform and the Welsh Conservatives wanted to reverse the policy.
First Minister Eluned Morgan said: “It’s worth noting that there have been 33 per cent fewer collisions in 2025 than there were in 2023.”
Reform UK’s Laura Ann Jones said road casualties had gone down right across Britain because cars were becoming safer.
