In 2021, Myanmar’s military carried out a coup d’état, overthrowing the civilian government. In the aftermath, communities across the country faced massacres, airstrikes, and deepening poverty amid a collapsing economy. Civilian leaders were detained, including Aung San Suu Kyi, one of the nation’s most prominent political figures. We seek to highlight the ongoing efforts of the Burmese people for peace and democracy. Join the conversation and help amplify the call for peace and democracy in Myanmar.
Here are a PPT and a PDF used in the event.
