Israel has detained two CNN journalists who were covering the aftermath of an Iranian missile strike in Tel Aviv, according to media reports. Reporter Emrah Çakmak and cameraman Halil Kahraman were live on air for CNN Türk near the IDF’s Kirya military headquarters when officers approached them and forced them to end the broadcast on Tuesday. Part of their report was about civilians emerging from bomb shelters. During the broadcast, a hand can be seen covering the camera lens before a voice says, “Stop the camera.” The footage freezes seconds later. Murat Yancı, head of the Demirören Media TV Group, which licenses the CNN news brand, said on Tuesday the pair were in good health and being held in custody, according to the Mediaite news website.
