Larijani denied in a message posted on the X platform the veracity of reports indicating a possible restart of negotiations between Tehran and Washington following the US and Israeli strikes on the Iranian territory.

The high-ranking official referred to a report in The Wall Street Journal that alluded to alleged efforts to resume talks through Oman’s mediation.

He underscored, “We will not negotiate with the United States.”

The leader responded, in another post, to statements made by US President Donald Trump, whom he accused of “leading the region into chaos with empty illusions.”

Larijani stated that Trump has transformed his “America First” slogan into “Israel First” and is making “US soldiers and their families pay the price for new lies.”

Israel and the United States have been conducting a military offensive against Iran since Saturday morning that, according to official reports, has resulted in the deaths of hundreds of people, including Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and several high-ranking security officials.
