While in the middle of deadlocked negotiations, the United States and Israel have treacherously unleashed a series of bombings and attacks upon the Islamic Republic of Iran, targeting its capital, Tehran. Bombings have also been reported at Qom, Isfahan, Karaj, and other places. It appears that the attacks aim to decapitate the Iranian leadership and to escalate the instability in West Asia. The US is fully responsible for the casualties among civilians as a result of its bombings and attacks.
This pattern of wanton bombing and sneak attacks by the imperialists is not new to us. With each move of treachery, US imperialism and its satellites like “Israel” are thoroughly exposed. The US seeks to draw other countries within its orbit closer into the conflicts with its imperialist rivals. What is happening now in West Asia is a test case and example that other countries, such as the Philippines, are sure to follow. The people of the Philippines must arouse, organize, and mobilize to prevent the United States from drawing us into their designs for a wider inter-imperialist war.
Iran is poised to retaliate and do whatever it can to defend itself in the face of these attacks. In accordance with international law, they have the right to self-defense against imperialist aggression.
In the principle of solidarity with the people who are fighting against imperialism, patriotic and freedom-loving Filipinos must stand with the people of Iran. We do not stand for US-instigated endless conflict across the world. We must vigorously struggle in all fields so that we may secure justice for the peoples of the world.
Youth, steel yourselves and strengthen the revolutionary underground to strike back against US imperialism and its puppets like the US-Marcos Jr regime.
