    So it is giving US tax payer money to a board of which he is in control of and only he can choose a successor to thats some new kinds of BS

      Not just that, but he is the chairman and the term is “until they no longer wish to serve the role”, so effectively a lifetime appointment. He will be chair of this peace board even after his term is up, collecting taxpayer dollars that will vanish into a fund that no one will be able to audit.
