Caroline Lucas didn’t hold back when facing off against Reform’s Zia Yusuf on Newsnight. The former Green party leader called Reform’s position on the Equalities Act “utterly incoherent” and accused Yusuf – who on Tuesday was appointed by Nigel Farage as his would-be home secretary – of belonging to a party “stuffed full of old Tory retreads”.
