BARCELONA will continue to host Formula One races until 2032 after a deal was struck which will see it alternate with the Belgian Grand Prix, it was announced today.
The Circuit de Catalunya has been replaced as the host of the Spanish Grand Prix from this year but has remained on the calendar and will host the Barcelona-Catalunya Grand Prix in June.
Its future beyond this season was in doubt but a deal has been reached which will see it continue to host a race in even years – 2028, 2030 and 2032 – alternating with Spa-Francorchamps.
