Thousands across Libya attended the funeral of Saif al-Islam Gaddafi, son of former Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi. In late January, Saif was killed by four masked men in his compound in western Libya. Saif’s political team released a statement following his death, calling his killing a “cowardly and treacherous assassination.”
