The recent history of international relations has ceased to be a chronicle of diplomacy and has become a diary of extermination. What the world has witnessed in Palestine—a genocide televised in real time, carried out before the eyes of a paralyzed international community—has definitively shattered the veil of global legality. If the system was capable of allowing such a massacre with the world as witness, it is suicidal naiveté to believe that they will stop a similar process in Venezuela, where the spoils are not only territory, but also the energy engine of the hemisphere.

As an international relations specialist, my analysis cannot afford to be sugarcoated. We must speak of Peace as a Myth of Domination. This formal peace is an ideological construct used to legitimize existing power structures; it is the order that the dominator declares while maintaining and deepening systemic injustices. In Venezuela, after the incursion of January 3, 2026, the risk of genocide is not paranoid speculation; it is a mathematical projection of the logic of capital.

If we apply the lethality demonstrated in the attack on Caracas, where military technology killed 130 people in just one hour, to a scenario of a prolonged siege of 827 days (the duration of the Gaza martyrdom), the resulting figure is total annihilation: 2,579,040 Venezuelans dead.

To grasp the ferocity of this machinery, it is necessary to consider the time factor: while it took the Israeli aggression in the Gaza Strip 827 days of constant siege to reach the chilling figure of more than 71,000 fatalities, in Venezuela it would take only 23 days to reach that same level of mortality. What in Palestine has been a process of attrition lasting more than two years, under the intensity of fire applied by the invader in Caracas could be achieved in less than a month.

This number is not just a war statistic; it is the amputation of a nation’s future. In that period of 827 days, the number of children and adolescents killed would total 678,287. This means that, under the intensity of fire that the invader has already demonstrated it is capable of wielding, more than 6,800 children would be eliminated every week. This is not a hypothesis; it is the linear application of a force that seeks not citizens, but strategic materials.

The logic of capital is extractive and heartless. For the centers of global power, Venezuela is not a homeland of millions, but an inventory of energy and critical minerals. On this chessboard, human life is a logistical obstacle. The warning is stark but necessary: ​​if you think the invader is interested in you, you will have to call yourself oil. If you are not a resource, you are an obstacle. And if you are an obstacle, the “formal peace” system will justify your elimination to restore market order.

The silence of international institutions is not incapacity, it is operational complicity. Faced with a system that validates extermination by gradual or shock, our only defense is to denounce this myth that seeks to normalize horror in the name of global security.

This projection of demographic annihilation, which could wipe out more than 678,000 Venezuelan children in less than three years, is the definitive symptom of the terminal crisis of multilateral mechanisms. The institutions created after World War II, such as the UN and the OAS, have gone from being arbiters of peace to being scribes of hegemony.

The crisis is not one of inefficiency, but of purpose. Multilateral mechanisms today do not exist to prevent conflict, but to manage Peace as a Myth of Domination. Palestine was the laboratory where it was demonstrated that International Law is worthless in the face of the needs of capital; Venezuela is today the chessboard where that same system validates surgical intervention and prolonged siege as legitimate tools for “democratic restoration.”

When the Security Council or regional bodies remain silent in the face of a death toll of 130 per hour, they are signing the death warrant of national sovereignty as a legal concept. Multilateralism has been replaced by a corporate-military governance where the strong do what they can and the weak suffer what they must.

Denounce the collapse of these mechanisms is not an exercise in cynicism, but an act of internationalist survival: the global order no longer protects life, it only protects the flow of strategic materials.

La historia reciente de las relaciones internacionales ha dejado de ser una crónica de diplomacia para convertirse en un diario de exterminio. Lo que el mundo ha presenciado en Palestina un genocidio televisado en tiempo real, ejecutado ante los ojos de una comunidad internacional inmóvil, ha roto definitivamente el velo de la legalidad global. Si el sistema fue capaz de permitir esa masacre con el mundo como testigo, es una ingenuidad suicida creer que detendrán un proceso similar en Venezuela, donde el botín no es solo territorio, sino el motor energético del hemisferio.

Como internacionalista, mi análisis no puede permitirse el lujo del maquillaje. Debemos hablar de la Paz como Mito de Dominación. Esta paz formal, es un constructo ideológico utilizado para legitimar las estructuras de poder existentes; es el orden que el dominador declara mientras mantiene y profundiza las injusticias sistémicas. En Venezuela, tras la incursión del 3 de enero de 2026, el riesgo de un genocidio no es una especulación paranoica, es una proyección matemática de la lógica del capital.

Si aplicamos la letalidad demostrada en el ataque a Caracas donde la tecnología militar liquidó a 130 personas en apenas una hora a un escenario de asedio prolongado de 827 días (el tiempo que ha durado el martirio de Gaza), la cifra resultante es la aniquilación total: 2,579,040 venezolanos muertos.

Para dimensionar la ferocidad de esta maquinaria, es necesario observar el factor tiempo: mientras que a la agresión israelí en la Franja de Gaza le tomó 827 días de asedio constante alcanzar la escalofriante cifra de más de 71,000 víctimas fatales, en Venezuela bastarían solo 23 días para alcanzar ese mismo nivel de mortandad. Lo que en Palestina ha sido un proceso de desgaste de más de dos años, bajo la intensidad de fuego aplicada por el invasor en Caracas se lograría en menos de un mes.

Este número no es solo una estadística de guerra; es la amputación del futuro nacional. En ese periodo de 827 días, los niños y adolescentes asesinados sumarían 678,287. Esto significa que, bajo la intensidad de fuego que el invasor ya demostró ser capaz de ejercer, se eliminarían a más de seis mil ochocientos niños cada semana. No es una hipótesis; es la aplicación lineal de una fuerza que no busca ciudadanos, sino materiales estratégicos.

La lógica del capital es extractivista y desalmada. Para los centros de poder global, Venezuela no es una patria de millones, sino un inventario de energía y minerales críticos. En este tablero, la vida humana es un estorbo logístico. La advertencia es cruda pero necesaria: si piensas que el invasor está interesado en ti, tendrás que llamarte petróleo. Si no eres un recurso, eres un obstáculo; y si eres un obstáculo, el sistema de “paz formal” justificará tu eliminación para restaurar el orden de los mercados.

El silencio de las instituciones internacionales no es incapacidad, es complicidad operativa. Ante un sistema que valida el exterminio por goteo o por shock, nuestra única defensa es la denuncia de este mito que pretende normalizar el horror en nombre de la seguridad global.

Esta proyección de aniquilación demográfica que podría borrar a más de 678,000 niños venezolanos en menos de tres años es el síntoma definitivo de la crisis terminal de los mecanismos multilaterales. Las instituciones creadas tras la Segunda Guerra Mundial, como la ONU o la OEA, han pasado de ser árbitros de la paz a ser escribanos de la hegemonía.

La crisis no es de ineficiencia, sino de propósito. Los mecanismos multilaterales hoy no existen para prevenir el conflicto, sino para administrar la Paz como Mito de Dominación. Palestina fue el laboratorio donde se demostró que el Derecho Internacional es un papel mojado frente a la necesidad del capital; Venezuela es hoy el tablero donde ese mismo sistema valida la intervención quirúrgica y el asedio prolongado como herramientas legítimas de “restauración democrática”.

Cuando el Consejo de Seguridad o los organismos regionales callan ante una tasa de letalidad de 130 muertos por hora, están firmando el acta de defunción de la soberanía nacional como concepto jurídico. El multilateralismo ha sido sustituido por una gobernanza corporativa-militar donde el fuerte hace lo que puede y el débil sufre lo que debe.

Denunciar el colapso de estos mecanismos no es un ejercicio de cinismo, sino un acto de supervivencia internacionalista: el orden global ya no protege la vida, solo protege el flujo de los materiales estratégicos
