Liberation affirms unequivocal opposition to continued US warmongering and meddling in the affairs of the Iranian people, and all people of the world, who have the right to determine their destiny. Economic sanctions, political assassinations carried out by agents of the United States and the Zionist entity, state-sanctioned terrorism, and genocidal war - these pose an existential threat to life as we know it. Western political discourse engaged in by liberal intellectuals with regard to the Third World is hypocritical. They speak of human rights, yet Americans are being penalized, beaten and murdered for daring to stand up to the fascist goons of ICE. They speak of women’s rights, yet this country is run by brutal thugs who have no respect for women or their rights, murdering them in the streets and dragging them out of vehicles by their hair. When this hypocritical analytical framework is lazily and cynically applied to Global South states, it becomes Eurocentric revisionism and counter-revolutionary because it is decontextualized from the concrete history of Western imperial violence against the rest of the world, including its own people here at home. Imperialism exploits legitimate grievances and people’s rebellions, and seeks to turn them toward their own ends. It uses intelligence agencies, NGO fronts, diaspora counter-revolutionary networks, and media warfare to co-opt rightful protests by the people into destructive, destabilizing movements that incite civil wars and result in loyal lap dogs of the empire being installed in coups d’etat. It is, once again, hypocrisy for America, the home of authoritarianism, to talk about authoritarian repression in other places. There are sections of the Iranian diaspora elites who were aligned with imperialism from the outset, headed by the Shah’s son himself. Their longtime support of the old Shah regime, backing the invasion of Iraq, and collaborating with Western regime-change agendas demonstrates that anything headed by them will not be in the interests of the masses. The masses of Iranian people are the only arbiters of their destiny.
Invasion, partition, and mass death - that is what the imperialists and their running dogs have to offer. From supporting Hezbollah militarily and politically against the genocidal imperial proxy of Zionism in southern Lebanon, to providing support and cover for Venezuela to sell its western-sanctioned oil, to providing support for the Yemeni struggle in solidarity with Palestine - this is precisely why American imperialists target Iran. It is revenge. Liberation unequivocally stands in solidarity with all resistance against the American Empire, a decadent, dying giant, stumbling from crime to crime. The world will one day be free from this menace.
