Who do you think you are kidding Mr Trump, if you think old England’s gonna let you just wade into Greenland?
Oh, there’s an answer to that, actually; it’s GB News:
Of course.
GB News.
The pathetic loser, Ben Leo outing himself as the traitor he really is.
This far-right propaganda machine doing down its own country is pretty standard nowadays. https://t.co/us9wCwvcou

Is it just us, or has the ‘patriotic’ right pivoted at some point?
Embarrassing
First things first, we think Starmer has done a woeful job of standing up to Trump. While the PM has said he opposes Trump’s annexation plans, the fact that he spent the past 12 months letting the US push him around makes it hard to take him seriously:
The United States is a hostile foreign power.
Keir Starmer tried to be Donald Trump’s poodle – and has been totally humiliated.
The Tories and Reform UK are exposed as stooges of a hostile foreign power.
It’s time for this country to Take Back Control. https://t.co/NtwfntKDb3

We wouldn’t be surprised if the US rolled into Greenland and Starmer immediately just accepted it. At the same time, the pattern with Trump is that he backs down when leaders show some backbone. He obviously respects such leaders, too, while he despises the weaklings who suck up to him:
“If you can get a deal with China then you should do that”
Trump is teaching his fellow Western leaders that having a spine is good and worthy of respect. They should try it more often.https://t.co/9Hxq7lWAKi— Dan Thompson (@Spacedog19) January 18, 2026
While Trump loathes suck up politicians, he does like journalists who stroke his tummy. As we reported, GB News’s Bev Turner gave Trump the softest of softball questions in the middle of more Epstein Files coming out. If we’d had the opportunity to interview Trump in that moment, we would have asked:
‘Why have you done everything in your power to prevent the release of documents which are widely believed to implicate your billionaire friends in the activities of a CIA-linked child trafficking ring?‘
GB Newstook a different tact:
‘I’m getting a question I’ve never thought of, or never been asked before!’

Remember this the next time they pretend to give a shit about grooming gangs.
In their latest act of subservience, Ben Leo has suggested Trump is trying to ‘save the West’ by entering into a trade war with the UK:
So ‘GB News’ is now an explicitly pro-American and anti-British media outlet.
These people are traitorous collaborationist scum and deserve to be treated as such. pic.twitter.com/CZW7xQhZnD

Leo attempted to defend himself against Paul Embery. We don’t normally have much time for Embery, but at least he isn’t begging a foreign moron to invade us:
How about our dear leaders in the West stop being simps and finally realise Trump is the only person trying to save them from themselves? that’d be a start
— Ben Leo (@benleo444) January 17, 2026
A ‘simp’ is someone who is excessively devoted to another, generally to the point of embarrassing themselves.
Leo, quite clearly, is the simp in this situation.
He is a simp for a 79-year old man who brags he can identify a tiger on command.
The conversation with Embery became confusing; not least because the coward Leo deleted one of his messages. He did say this, though:
I asked you twice because your position is so extraordinary that I found it hard to believe you meant it. Do you know *for sure* that he won’t forcible annex Greenland? He has certainly implied that he will. And that in itself crosses a line. Anyway, you’ve made your position…
— Paul Embery (@PaulEmbery) January 17, 2026
When Leo mentions ‘minerals’, he’s talking about ‘rare earths’. Because Leo is a no-nothing hack, he doesn’t know that so-called rare earths are actually very common; what’s rare is the ability to process them. China has this ability; the US does not.
Rare earths are not rare. But the processing of rare earths is owned and controlled by one country – China.
China produces 60% of rare earths and processes 90% of them. pic.twitter.com/TA3K4Nbr2G
— Michael Dunne (@dunne_insights) April 20, 2025
There would be zero benefit to the US seizing Greenland. Not in the short term anyway, or even the long term. Potentially they’ll need those rare earths one hundred thousand years from now, but by then they’ll probably have other things to worry about.
Leo finished his point with the following:
Unlike you I look at things from a global and civilisational perspective.
The future of the West is at stake and there will be no Britain to be patriotic about if this carries on
If you don’t believe me or don’t get it, I don’t have time to try to convince you, sorry.
Translation: ‘I’m incapable of making a point which makes any sense, so I’m going to accuse everyone else of being too stupid to understand me.’
‘GB News’ or ‘Trump bootlicker’?
Leo isn’t the only servile GB News host laying down for Trump:
Why do we have an American propaganda network operating under the name “GBnews”
Any sane nation would ban them https://t.co/ILbDqfQev9
— JimmyTheGiant (@jimthegiant) January 18, 2026
And GB Newsaren’t the only ones siding with a hostile foreign power (this is from a week ago):
Seriously, is the Telegraph a US influence operation? pic.twitter.com/NT5Zjhy72z
— Marc Owen Jones (@marcowenjones) January 17, 2026
12 months ago, the right were able to present the argument that while Trump was a reckless, would-be despot, that was all good, because we’d be despoting alongside him. Now that Trump has made it clear he thinks all Europeans are dirt, it’s much harder to remain loyal to both Trump and the UK.
Hats off to them, though; while Trump’s boots may be coated in the most impenetrable layer of shit, that hasn’t stopped GB News having a good, old lick.
