Roger Waters was typically blunt when he spoke to right-wing interviewer Piers Morgan this week on the subject of US democracy.

Or rather, its absence — with Israel playing a large part in that.

Despite living in the US, the Pink Floyd legend was typically uncompromising about what it is as a nation — and he told Morgan that the US is not a democracy, because you can buy the country’s presidency with money from Israel lobby group AIPAC and other rich donors:

Waters is right. Lobby group AIPAC spends hundreds of millions yearly buying funding US politicians to ensure unconditional support for Israel. Zionist billionaire’s widow Miriam Adelson gave Trump 250 million US dollars to win his current term. Trump is quite frank that she demands favour for Israel in return.

Corporate donors can buy favours for large donations. Criminals can buy pardons.

Roger Waters is right. The US is not a democracy — and its sickness pre-dates Trump, even if he threatens to be the terminal phase.
