An anonymous whistleblower from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has allegedly leaked the personal information of 4,500 ICE and border patrol agents after the cold-blooded murder of Renee Nicole Good.

The information was leaked to ICE List – an open journalistic project created by *Crust News.*It aims to collect and share information that will hold ICE members legally accountable. The list also includes the names of officials, professionals, journalists, and other people who have enabled or supported ICE.

It is the largest ever DHS staff data leak. It includes names, work emails, telephone numbers, roles, and some resumé data, including previous jobs of federal immigration staff.

According to Dominick Skinner, who leads the volunteer-run website, the data includes around 1,800 on-the-ground agents and 150 supervisors. The organisation’s early analysis suggests that DHS still employs around 80% of the staff identified by the leak.

Skinner told The Daily Beastthat since the murder of Renee Nicole Good:

I’ve had hotel staff sending post-it notes, bar staff sending DHS IDs, and loads of people saying their neighbour is an agent.

ICE thugs

Before this leak, the ICE List had been in possession of the details of approximately 2,000 federal immigration staff members. This includes some names it has chosen not to make public.

Skinner told The Daily Beastthat around 800 of these are frontline agents. However, ICE List now has the personal details of 6,500 federal immigration staff. Skinner said he plans to list most of the names that the project can verify. He said:

ICE and CBP are in clear need of reform, and I believe working for either is a bad move on a moral level.

He did say, however, that they would spare those working as nurses or in childcare positions within the agency.

The website states:

We have been forced to fight off multiple attempts to take us offline by the Trump regime, and we will continue to do so.

This is despite Skinner hosting the website outside the US, meaning Trump’s government should not have the authority to remove it.

Now, ICE agents are reporting fear of public retaliation because of ICE’s heavy-handed approach. The Daily Beastreported that one former agent said he and his colleagues fear that juries are less likely to believe the evidence presented by ICE agents in court.

Polling suggests that many Americans want ICE scrapped altogether. In total, 47% said that ICE is making Americans less safe, while 46% said they should be abolished. The same poll found that 57% of Americans do not approve of the way ICE is enforcing immigration laws

Americans are waking up to Trump’s thugs heavy-handedness, and they are no longer looking the other way. Trump and his corrupt pals can only spout the same bullshit for so long before the rest of the country wakes up. And with DHS employees already leaking ICE agents’ personal details, it is only a matter of time before things get worse for the president.
