A Trump ‘Department of Homeland Security’ (DHS) stormtrooper has permanently blinded a 21-year-old man as he peacefully protested in Santa Ana, California, against ICE’s murder of Renee Good in Minneapolis. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) operate under the DHS.

The young man was shot in the face at point-blank range with a supposed ‘non-lethal’ projectile weapon. He was carrying a megaphone. Rather than treat him on the spot for his terrible injuries, a DHS agent dragged him along the ground by his collar. The blood from his injured eye is clearly visible. At no point was there any apparent danger to the DHS unit:

Relative Jeri Rees said her nephew Kaden Rummler underwent six hours of surgery after the attack. Doctors found pieces of plastic, glass and metal in both eyes and his face, as well as behind his eyes. A shard of metal lodged just 7mm from his carotid artery and Rummler also suffered a fractured skull. She went on:

That could have cost him his life. But now, for the next six weeks, he can’t sneeze or cough because it could do a lot of damage.

The shrapnel near the artery is too dangerous to remove. Doctors have said that Rummler will be permanently blind in his left eye and his right may also not recover.
