In a statement to Prensa Latina, Gupta also paid tribute to the 32 Cubans who were killed in defense of President Nicolas Maduro, and to all the Venezuelans who also gave their lives defending their homeland, their president and the first combatant, Cilia Flores.
In addition, she called the attack perpetrated on January 3 by the administration of President Donald Trump against Venezuela and the kidnapping of the presidential couple of the South American nation a brazen aggression.
The professor of the Jammia Islamia University also told the Venezuelans that in all social networks and on throughout India there is a consensus condemning what she described as brutal aggression.
She pointed out that the Indian people also rejects the repeated threats by Donald Trump, Secretary of State Marco Rubio and other White House officials against the sovereignty and independence of Cuba.
Gupta also expressed her anger and grief at the silence of several governments that have become accomplices.
Finally, she emphasized that while these authorities are silent the people are in the streets, in protest for the US aggression States against Venezuela, which is actually also directed to all sovereign peoples, she said.
