Fears are building that Israel is again about to attack Iran, potentially imminently. Sources in the region have told the Canary that the occupation regime is preparing bomb shelters, and German diplomats are leaving Tel Aviv.

Is Israel about to attack Iran again?

The US began withdrawing non-essential staff from its embassies in Israel and Lebanon on Thursday 8 January, a tell-tale sign of an impending strike. In the June 2025 ’12-day war’, Iran’s retaliatory missiles struck a US base in Qatar and destroyed large areas of several Israeli cities.

Iran has promised “harsh” retaliation if it is attacked again. Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu had asked Russian president Vladimir Putin to reassure Tehran that Israel was not planning an attack. Given Netanyahu’s record of constant lies, this in itself was an indicator that Israel is about to attack.
