Thousands turned out Saturday in front of South Carolina’s state capital to cheer on and walk with a group of Buddhist monks who are on a 2,300-mile “Peace Walk” to Washington, DC. The monks, who are traveling with a rescue dog named Aloka, are from the Huong Dao Vipassana Bhavana in Fort Worth, TX, where they began their trek for compassion and non-violence on October 26.
