Here’s the recording for the first session of our Substack philosophy class for paid subscribers! We’ll read Ch. 2 (“The State of Nature”) for next Tuesday. (Once again, 1-2 PM EST.) I think almost everything went really well. The only thing I’m planning to do differently next week is that we ended up going WAY over time and, since (a) I want to be respectful of everyone’s time and (b) we’re not in any kind of hurry to get through the book, if it gets to be over an hour next week we’ll just say “OK, maybe we have to have a Pt. 2 of our Ch. 2 discussion next Tuesday before we move on the week after that.” Obviously if any of you want us to do anything different just let me know, but other than the time issue I’m pretty happy.
