Ambassador Carlos de Cespedes urged members of the diplomatic mission to defend the revolutionary struggle with unity, as requested by Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel.
The diplomat emphasized that being inspired by Fidel Castro’s example means always being at the forefront and engaged in the ongoing struggle.
He called on his staff to maintain cohesion and to be at the forefront of the defense of the Revolution.
Cubans residing in Colombia and members of the Solidarity Movement will commemorate the centennial of Fidel Castro’s birth, to be officially celebrated on August 13, with various activities throughout the year.
In addition to book presentations honoring the legacy of the Cuban revolutionary in various cities, there will also be discussions, an illustration and photography contest, and other commemorative activities.
These events follow the presentation already held in this capital of the Colombian edition of “History Will Absolve Me,” Fidel Castro’s 1953 self-defense plea.
