A United Arab Emirates ship arrived in Egypt with humanitarian aid destined for the Gaza Strip to alleviate the severe crisis following the Israeli offensive.

The Ministry of Defense of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) confirmed the arrival of a vessel carrying over 7,300 tons of humanitarian aid at the Egyptian port of El Arish.

The ship, which sailed on December 19 from Khalifa Port in Abu Dhabi, transported essential food, temporary shelters, winter clothing, and nutritional supplements. These supplies are intended for the population of the Gaza Strip, with a special focus on women and children, in an effort to alleviate urgent needs after more than two years of Israeli offensive.

The cargo was prepared jointly by various Emirati humanitarian and charitable organizations, which have intensified their efforts in the region. This shipment is part of the first phase of a peace agreement promoted in October, which established a ceasefire between Israel and the Palestinian Movement Hamas. This pact stipulated the release of Israeli hostages, the withdrawal of Israeli troops from Gaza, and an increase in the entry of humanitarian assistance.

Partial Relief Amidst the Crisis
The arrival of the Emirati ship represents partial relief for the Gazan population, who continue to suffer the consequences of the blockade and devastation. The aid includes basic food to address scarcity, temporary shelters for those who have lost their homes, winter clothing to withstand low temperatures, and nutritional supplements. The action by the United Arab Emirates joins international efforts to guarantee humanitarian assistance in Gaza, where millions of people survive in extreme conditions. However, restrictions imposed by Israel on the entry of supplies and the massive destruction of infrastructure hinder the effective distribution of aid.
