The head of the Russian Aerospace Forces also stated at a press conference that on December 28, 2025, radio-technical troops detected an attack by unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), similar to airplanes, operating at extremely low altitudes, from the territories of the Ukrainian regions of Sumi and Chernihiv.
The high-ranking military official stated that the structure of the attack, the number of drones involved, and their trajectories from the south, southwest, and west toward the presidential residence “unequivocally confirm that the terrorist attack by the Kyiv regime was targeted, meticulously planned, and carried out in stages.”
“The enemy attack was launched from several directions toward the Russian president’s residence over the territories of the Bryansk, Smolensk, Tver, and Novgorod regions, using 91 unmanned aerial vehicles,” the major general explained.
According to Romanenkov, after the attack was repelled, “there were no casualties or damage on the territory of the Russian Federation,” and the Russian president’s residence was also unaffected.
