Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian stated that these countries and organizations are ignoring separatist actions in Taiwan and external interference, while criticizing China’s legitimate measures to protect its territorial integrity.

The spokesperson also affirmed that the island is an inalienable part of Chinese territory and the Taiwan issue is exclusively a matter for China’s domestic affairs, excluding external interference.

Lin underscored that the greatest threat to peace and stability in the Taiwan Strait is separatist activities and the support they receive from external forces.

He also remembered that the one-China principle is a widely recognized consensus and the political foundation of China’s relations with 183 countries, including Japan, Australia, and European nations.

China urged these countries and organizations to respect the one-China principle and cease all forms of support for Taiwanese separatist forces.

Lin rejected, in the same appearance, statements by a Japanese senator regarding a possible visit to Taiwan, an attitude that contradicts the political commitments made by Tokyo to Beijing.
