The Aftershock provided the following update on the health of the hunger strikers, whose plight remains ignored by corporate press.
Today is day 57 of refusing food for Heba Muraisi. She, and three others, are continuing their hunger strike in order to ensure their demands are met.
The Labour government has not only been an active participant in the ongoing Gaza genocide, they’ve disregarded the lives of their own citizens.
BREAKING: The Labour Party HQ in London was targeted.
There are four prisoners for Palestine at a critical point of their hunger strike, which the govt has attempted to ignore

As we reported on 27 December, hunger striker Teuta Hoxha has lost the ability to stand, meanwhile Heba Muraisi, is losing the ability to speak.
The hunger strikers have endured 18 months in prison without trial. As a consequence of this and other instances of alleged mistreatment, they recently launched legal action against justice secretary David Lammy. Notably, these activists were imprisoned before the government proscribed Palestine Action as a terrorist organisation.
Among those who have spoken out is activist Greta Thunberg who spoke directly to the Canary:

The Canary’s @JustBarold spoke to @GretaThunberg tonight. She gave her thoughts on how Labour is treating the hunger strikers, its disgraceful complicity with Israel’s genocide, & what we all need to be doing to affect change for the Palestinian people

On 28 December, Skwawkbox reported:
In a statement on Boxing Day, the UN’s human rights office (OHCHR) highlighted the UK government’s harsh treatment of the hunger-strikers. The OHCHR also made clear that Starmer and his ministers are legally responsible for their wellbeing
The statement began:
GENEVA – UN experts* today expressed grave concern for the lives and fundamental rights of eight pro-Palestinian activists imprisoned in the United Kingdom, who have been on indefinite hunger strike since 2 November.
“Hunger strike is often a measure of last resort by people who believe that their rights to protest and effective remedy have been exhausted,” the experts said.
As they enter the second month of their strike, the health of the pro-Palestinian detainees has reportedly deteriorated significantly, placing them at critical risk of serious complications, including organ failure, irreversible neurological damage, cardiac arrhythmias and death.
Ongoing
Activists also targeted Labour HQ in 2024, demanding that the party call for an arms embargo on Israel:
‘The Youth refuse to comply with a system that is killing us all’
It is clear we cannot vote our way out of this, we must force an end to the genocides ourselves, it is time to step up and act.

Since Labour returned to power, however, the UK has continued to send arms to Israel. As we reported, the value of arms Israel imports from the UK actually reached a record high in June.
