The President of Venezuela and Commander-in-Chief of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB), Nicolás Maduro, led the salutation message to the Bolivarian National Armed Forces and the Military Labor Day reaffirming the liberating and emancipating character of the nation’s armed forces.

“Our military has a glorious history, as an emancipating military, liberators of this land,” said president Maduro, who took the opportunity to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the creation of the military academy of the Army of Venezuela, which was created even before the emancipatory struggles of the continent began.
“Our military is not imperialist, they do not go out to bomb and kill people and steal wealth, they are liberators of this land and all of America,” he reaffirmed regarding a FANB that remains up to the level of comprehensive defense that Venezuela needs.
President Maduro assured that the perfect popular and military union demonstrated also this 2026 allows us to call this year the year of an admirable challenge that was overcome, in clear historical reference to the Admirable Campaign, a glorious military action of the independence struggles of Venezuela.
In that regard, he assured that the FANB proves to be a united liberating army of this 21st century, loyal to its history but full of a bright future.
Maduro celebrated that thanks to that perfect popular and military fusion, the people of Venezuela live in peace and tranquility, despite the threats that have fallen on the country in recent months.
The Commander of the FANB recalled that Venezuela has been attacked by Goliath for 27 weeks, and in those 27 weeks it has not wasted time, but has been “deployed with intelligence, wisdom and strategic patience” to face any aggression.
This has made it possible for it to remain a nation of equality and brotherhood, to which many Venezuelans have returned to the nation to stay forever to build the homeland, through the Plan Vuelta a la Patria (Return to the Homeland Plan).
