According to an official statement from the bureau, the operation was carried out covertly and led to the identification of legislators who allegedly received illicit benefits in exchange for voting on key decisions at the Supreme Rada.
NABU denounced that employees of the Parliament’s State Protection Directorate obstructed the investigators’ work, describing it as direct interference in the operation.
Internal sources indicate that the judicial proceedings include actions against Deputy Yuri Kisel, a figure close to President Volodimir Zelenski.

A plethora of previous cases related to the misappropriation of public funds, irregular agreements with state contractors, and legislative vote-buying had already been the subject of internal investigations and warnings from international bodies.
This situation has led to constant friction between the Executive branch, the Supreme Rada, and the anti-corruption agencies, whose methods of operation have been repeatedly questioned by Government sectors.
Critics argue that the current scale of the case could reconfigure alliances within Parliament, strain the relationship between Kyiv and its international partners, and deepen the crisis of legitimacy of the Ukrainian state.
