Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro urged US media outlets on Friday not to be influenced by various lobbies seeking to impose a colonial model of domination and steal the country’s natural resources. He denounced that sectors of the White House “invented” extremist opposition figures to further this objective. At the same time, he highlighted his nation’s active and victorious resistance against the multifaceted aggression waged by the Trump Administration.
During the Council of Sectoral Vice Presidents held on December 26, the Venezuelan president stressed the importance of US media maintaining their independence. He emphasized not yielding to “so many lobbies,” among which he mentioned “bondholders, oil companies, Miami” and “corrupt Venezuelans who fled to Miami,” asserting that these groups “pay for articles.”

The President affirmed that Venezuela “wants peace, that it will always win its right to peace and to the future, and that it is right,” a position that has been demonstrated in the United Nations Security Council, alluding to “historical, legal, and juridical reason.”
“It is impossible for sectors of power in the United States to fabricate a virtual reality and impose a colonial and slave-owning model of domination on Bolívar’s Venezuela in order to steal its natural resources,” the head of state emphasized. He also maintained that the Venezuelan people, “settled throughout the territory, in communities, in universities, in factories, in barracks,” have “demonstrated sufficient capacity to lead the nation down the right path, at a good pace, and in a timely manner.”
President Nicolás Maduro Moros emphasized that “Venezuela continues its active and victorious resistance struggle, maintaining the initiative and a permanent offensive on all fronts.” He also noted that the current situation keeps the Venezuelan people steadfast, victorious, and redoubling their efforts for the nation’s peace.
From every front, action plans and the Concrete Action Agenda (CAA) are being refined as part of the closing of 2025, which he highlighted as “a blessed year, marking the 200th anniversary of the founding of our beloved Bolivia.” Along the same lines, President Maduro emphasized that in 2025 Venezuela continues to advance comprehensively with the 7 Transformations of the Homeland Plan and the “7 dimensions of present development.”
The head of state also criticized the White House’s strategies, asserting that figures like John Bolton, Rex Tillerson, John Kelly, and Mike Pompeo “invented Guaidó,” into whom “billions of dollars” were poured. The bolivarian leader extended this criticism to the current leader, María Corina Machado, whom he called “the new version of Guaidó, known in Venezuela as La Sayona,” describing her as “a woman with extremist views, a hysterical lunatic.” He asserted that “they have always opted for extremism,” while the government has opted to “build true strength, defend the homeland, and have a beautiful, peaceful, and vibrant homeland.”
Finally, the President Maduro delivered a message of “peace, love, and understanding.” He reiterated that if in the United States “someday someone decides, based on respect, to engage in dialogue and move beyond failed projects of more than 25 years,” they will always find a president who represents his people, ready to “extend a hand and seek paths to peace, cooperation, and prosperity.”
