On Wednesday, Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum sent a Christmas message wishing all families a Merry Christmas Eve and a Happy New Year, with special recognition for healthcare workers, security personnel, and migrants far from home.

She expressed her confidence that love for the country will strengthen the nation and emphasized that the pride of being Mexican and the richness of its culture always accompany its people.

The Mexican president affirmed that hope and fraternity exist in every corner of the country, and that shared love unites Mexicans during these celebrations. She highlighted that Mexicans turn the simple into celebration and thanked mothers, fathers, and grandparents for their legacy.

In the video shared on her social media, Sheinbaum toured the National Palace with her husband, Jesus Tarriba, greeted military personnel, and placed poinsettias, a symbol of unity and Mexican tradition.

The text reads, “We wish all Mexican families a Merry Christmas. Tonight, hope, love, and brotherhood fill every corner of the country. What matters most are values ​​and love for others, for family, and for our beloved Mexico.”

Sheinbaum also thanked children as a daily reminder of “what is worth fighting for,” and mentioned those who work on Christmas to protect and serve, such as the armed forces, police, and firefighters.

She also acknowledged the work of healthcare workers, transportation workers, and others, emphasizing that Mexico knows how to support one another even from a distance. The president called for unity and fraternity in times of family separation.

Accompanied by her husband and a Christmas tree, Sheinbaum asked everyone to remember that what matters most is not material possessions, but values, love for others, family, and country.
