In 2024, Israel bombed a convoy of aid workers in what was believed to be a deliberate attack. This should have been a very big deal in the UK, because British aid workers were among those killed. Now, families of those murdered have revealed to the National that David Lammy was “shirty” with them when they met. Even more perverse than that, Lammy told the victims of Israel’s war crimes that they should be more worried about Iran.

David Lammy says that as a teenager he was motivated by the anti apartheid movement & the injustice being done in South Africa

Today he’s an apologist for apartheid & genocide

Has Lammy sold out his principles or was he just pretending to have them in the first place? pic.twitter.com/VstwtkQyQb

Inhuman Lammy

As reported by the National, three British citizens died in Israel’s aid convoy massacre. Those men were James Henderson, James Kirby, and John Chapman. Henderson’s father Neil said:

Lammy came in and basically he didn’t answer one of the questions. It was almost as if he was going through a tick-the-box exercise, if you like. Not very impressed at all, I’m afraid.

The meeting took place in November 2024. Lammy failed to impress when he reportedly asked Kirby’s mother “who are you?”. His response to James Henderson’s partner Jackie was even worse, as Neil Henderson detailed:

He got quite shirty. He took affront that Jackie should ask him that question.

The question was ‘why is the UK still arming Israel’ – a fair question by any metric. According to Neil Henderson:

He took great lengths to explain to us that Iran were building an atomic bomb and we should be more worried about that, which we found rather strange.

‘Strange’ is how Neil Henderson put it; a less polite person might describe Lammy’s words as ‘sick’ or ‘depraved’.

Liar liar

Lammy lied to the victims’ families too, telling them the UK was only selling Israel “jackets” and “helmets”. In October this year, however, Channel 4 reported that:

analysis of Israel Tax Authority figures shows munitions worth around £400,000 arriving from the UK and passing through Israeli customs in June 2025 – the highest amount in a single month since available records began more than three years ago.

The exact nature of the items isn’t specified in the records, but they were listed under a category that includes bombs, grenades, torpedoes, missiles and mines. It isn’t possible to identify the end user of the munitions from these statistics.

The National further reported that the Metropolitan Police’s Terrorism Comman Unit (which contains the War Crimes Team) is looking into the killing of the British aid workers, but that Israel is refusing to cooperate.

So we ask again, David Lammy – why are you continuing to sell arms to Israel?
